Celebrating Mother’s Day in the legacy and evolution of music

This Mother’s Day, let us honor our mothers, grandmothers, mother-figures and the like, as the world celebrates the toughest job in the world – being a mother, with no less than the company and inspiration of music.

To children whose mothers are watching them from above, remember and relive the memories you’ve shared with her and keep her legacy alive just like how music icon Prince will continue to live on.

And because it’s every mother’s special day, take her to see authentic Filipino classical talents in action at the “Klassikal Music Foundation presents: Songs from a Silver World” at the RCBC Plaza this May 7th or let her be in control just like Julie Anne San Jose’s “In Control” anniversary concert at the KIA Theatre.  And if you’re young mom needs some moving forward inspiration, let her take some cues from Sam Concepcion’s fresh and new vibe in his third album “Bago.”

You could also dance and sing the night away as you experience and discover the evolution of music in MTV Music Evolution with some of the best contemporary international and local artists. But you can also simply have fun at home with your mom’s favorite music by female artists or from the new favourites from Myx Music Awards.

Whatever’s your way of celebrating, we’ll sure your mothers will treasure the moments.

And behind all these excellent showcase of talent in modern Filipino women are love and faith, which are also evident in the message of Noel Cabangon’s recent release titled “Sa’Yo Lamang: Papuri at Inspirasyon.”
