Retracing the Passage of Sab

Sabrina has always received a lot of attention for precisely doing a lot of covers. Despite her status, she has come to be known as Asia’s Acoustic Sweetheart, recognized in ASEAN countries for her musical ability and acoustic style. Her “I Love Acoustic” series in 8 volumes to date has reached loads of Platinum successes. sab-2016-4

Setting aside her significant talents, as a performer and a recording artist, what makes Sabrina special are her three specific gifts: humility, love for supporters, and just importantly, her genuine perspective in song writing.

Over a span of eight years, Sabrina has performed a number of original songs written like “Again” (by Anj Sulit) and “Sa Bawat Paghinga” (by Toto Sorioso). Adding to her song treasury of originals are “One True Love,” “Over For Now But Not Forever,” “Oh Boy,” and “Paradise.”

As anticipated, she’s inspired to create songs from her own experiences and thoughts as she is extremely positive about releasing an all-original album. She probably didn’t spend a long time thinking about this dream, instead, she starts it with the first step of writing songs. She is focus to her goals no matter how bold and risky it may be. For her, this comes as a reinvention of herself.

Kyle Echarri Introduces New Album, His Moment to Shine

Stating being busy is just an easy excuse. Considering the Manila traffic, I find it hard to really make time to attend to other things out of the way and those things that are not really work related. We would like to think that we prioritize the things that matter the most. But with the combination of choice and willingness, as well as priority, I attended Kyle Echarri’s blog con recently. Yes!

I’m just happy to be able to make it on time with the help and the invitation of Sir Richard Paglicawan of Lionhearttv. I had to rush to the blog con venue at the MCA Music office in Ortigas Center after office hours. I miss working with his group, connecting, learning and engaging with them.

I’m expecting a big group of bloggers but nothing beats a homey intimate meet up with the 13-year-old teen singing star and The Voice Kids alumna Kyle Echarri as he releases his first solo debut album billed as “It’s Me, Kyle.”

Released under MCA Music, Kyle’s first carrier single is an original song entitled “Fall for Me.” A song that showcases his maturing voice, and he’s dedicating it to all the people who have supported him since day one of his career. “I dedicate to my fans this song as the lyrics tells us ‘You and me, we’re a perfect melody,’ because without them, my career would be nothing.” Lyric video below courtesy of KyleEcharriVEVO.

Fans can now listen to and download the album “It’s Me, Kyle” through digital downloads and streaming via Spinnr, Spotify, iTunes, Apple Music, Deezer and VEVO. You can buy the CDs at Astroplus and Astrovision outlets.

Urbandub Fans Reminisce Through ‘Endless Revisited’

Can you imagine a jam-packed place with all of the Dubistas singing and reminiscing with Gab & John’s acoustic performance? It happened at the intimate venue Music Museum last May 27, 2016 when they stripped down Urbandub hits in celebration of the successful release of the “Urbandub: Endless” DVD, released under MCA Music.EndlesUrbandub-Endless-Revisited-(3)

They mesmerized the crowd with an explosive set in synchronized acoustic that brought together almost all of their hits, as well as familiar songs from the last 15 years. It began with songs from bands Sirens and Autotelic. Gab and John also shared the stage with Russel Manaloto on bass. These guys left us more memories and had us craving for all that what we love and miss about the band in a toned-down song arrangements.

Darren Espanto: ‘Be With Me’ on My Journey to Music

We miss covering blog conferences and meet blogger friends, this time we enjoyed tremendous fun conversations and moments with Fil-Canadian singer, Darren Espanto.

Darren Espanto - Be With Me (4)

Time flies so fast that this young man has been achieving countless accomplishments in his career at such a young age since breaking out in “The Voice of the Philippines” Kids edition. He’s growing up so fast that even though it kind of makes me feel old, it gives me this feeling of inspiration whenever I hear his music and transitions.

I think it’s a normal feeling to be proud though that he doesn’t stop chasing his dreams with a high mainstream relevance morphing into a teen pop star sensation.

At the blog con, he shared some honest conversations — he has written songs for his sophomore album “Be With Me,” promoting a sure hit concert “D Total Experience,” answering controversial issues and enumerating the journey as an artist with his unstoppable Darrenatics fans remaining by his side.
