Thor Live! at the Music Museum

Thor has performed his best to provide an exceptional music experience and inspiration to a cozy audience at the Music Museum, allowing more personal interactions and standout musical performances. Thor Live! at the Music Museum is a birthday concert, a fund raising and a celebration of a great year in his career. I’m more impressed and captivated after listening to him live than watching him on TV. His sincerity through songs were very notable.

We’re all lucky to listen to Thor’s audition piece in The Voice Philippines entitled “I Have Nothing”. Checkout the video below when he was faced with a tough decision on who to pick among the four superstar-coaches of The Voice of the Philippines after impressing them with his rendition of this Whitney Houston hit. He also has singles out in iTunes: “Antay,” “Climb Every Mountain” and a song that has been part of the album The Voice of the Philippines the Final 16 entitled “Lately.” Looking forward to his new record soon.

He mentioned about being thankful for the people who supported him in the concert. Thor enamored us with his powerful voice, a fusion of ballad and RnB sound. He performed his versions of pop hits: Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger,” Katy Perry’s “Roar,” Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball,” Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” and Bruno Mar’s “Treasures.” Look at the Mjölnir stage props, the hammer of Thor, symbolizing his smashing talent.

He has the best list of slow songs and emotional RnB hits which he also performed to his regular gigs: “There’s No Easy Way,” “One Last Cry” and “How Am I Supposed To Live Without You,” “I’ll Make Love To You” and “I’d Rather.” “The best for me is when the people send their requested songs written in tissue papers. Gusto ko rin na ang mga taong nanonood sa akin ay nage-enjoy. It’s actually a good sign that they enjoyed staying with my set lalo na if they sing-along, nagdya-jam. Masaya na hindi lang ako ang kumakanta at may interaksyon sa mga tao. Marami na po akong nakantang english songs, ito po ang ilan sa mga paborito ko” shares Thor as he let the audience sing with this well-loved hit songs.

“Let me share some Christmas songs to you that will make us feel that Christmas is still in the air and there’s still the reason to celebrate,” says Thor as he promotes sharing and gift-giving to the needy and the Yolanda victims specially for the coming Yuletide season. That’s how he value the spirit of Christmas as he remembered others humbly. I love how “Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer” was being arranged into pop, checkout the video below courtesy of Justine De Mesa.

Maybe you’re asking what comes next for him after The Voice Philippines. I’m looking forward to his own song being a hit, OPM needs this great kind of talent and passion for music that he possess.
