Following on from the successful #MatteoXCarlo concert is a night of merriment and music as Carlo Aquino celebrates his birthday through a concert billed as “Liwanag In Concert.” We again witnessed his side as a singer and a musician.

Part of the big surprise is when his family comes up to the stage, show their support and greet him the happiest birthday. Also spotted in the audience is his leading lady from his upcoming Black Sheep film, Maine Mendoza.

At the concert, Carlo shared the stage with Pau Jubelag, Jem Cubil, and Andrea Babierra. He sang songs like “Make Me Believer” by Imagine Dragons, “That’s What I Like” by Bruno Mars,  “If Life Is So Short” by The Moffats, “I Love Your Way” by Big Mountain, “Sunday Morning,” “This Love,” and “She Will be Loved” by Maroon 5 among others.

He also performed his latest single and own version of “Balisong (Transformed),” a song original by Rico Blanco. Listen to this song via Spotify. Video is courtesy of JD Z.

Through the direction of Frank Mamaril and the musical direction of musical genius Louie Ocampo, Carlo definitely shared songs, stories, and some impressive moves at his birthday concert.

Liwanag in Concert aims to spark the light of inspiration to remind his supporters to always seize the moment and to chase their dreams no matter how big and small they are—just like what he continues to do as an actor and musician.
